Zebra barcode scanners with ZAXORE
ZAXORE reads barcodes typed into its fields, so a scanner that behaves like a keyboard can be used at the register, on the product form and to find customers. Here is exactly what was checked — and what was not.
No Zebra model has been tested with ZAXORE yet. Every model below is listed as “requires device compatibility verification” until it is.
Two different things
Scanner as keyboard input
The scanner “types” the code and presses Enter (USB HID keyboard or Bluetooth HID). ZAXORE needs nothing special: the code lands in the focused field.
Dedicated Zebra integration
Talking to the device directly — for example DataWedge intents on Zebra Android mobile computers, the scanner SDK, or printing ZPL to Zebra label printers. It would allow scanning without a focused field, device settings and richer data.

The “Scan or enter” field is focused automatically; a scan plus Enter adds the item. It also reads scale barcodes with weight or price, and PLU codes.Available - Products

Device types and verification status
Setting one up

Put the scanner in USB HID keyboard mode (or pair it as a Bluetooth keyboard) using its programming guide.

Make sure it sends Enter after each code (a carriage-return suffix).

For codes with letters, keep the computer’s keyboard language on English while scanning — an Arabic layout can change the letters the scanner “types”.

Open the register in ZAXORE and scan a product you know. If it is added, the scanner works with every field listed above.
